I'm pretty awful at taking "real" photographs of my work. And it doesn't help that my most recent works are all pretty much 3-Dimensional (which I have no experience with in terms of photographing), so that means even less updating on this thing. Sorry! I'm going to try to update this more often, even with just doodles and sketches. For now, here are a few watercolors from earlier tonight:

Slide Seminar.

Tomorrow I will be attending an eight hour "Slide Seminar" for my 2-D Synthesis class. Although it will probably be tedious and a tiny bit boring, I'm pretty excited to finally learn how to create proper slides! It's something that I've always wanted to learn, but never had anyone to teach me, but I also never asked. But hey, now I don't have to!

With that said, I'll be posting new work tomorrow :)

Ps. I think once this semester is over, I'm going to attempt a *Winter Break* version of the "365" project. When school is in session, it's incredibly hard to balance homework along with my jobs, so winter break will be the perfect opportunity to "keep the creative juices flowing", so to speak.

2011. Abstraction of a Still Life. Vine charcoal and compressed charcoal.
I created this piece for my 2D Synthesis class. We were asked to observe a still life for several days, obtaining information on it while recording it through various sketches. We were later asked to create an abstraction of the still life, using the information we had gathered.

Tides of Man.

I replicated the album art for one of my boyfriends favorite bands, Tides of Man. He was gone for a two month long tour, so I wanted him to come home to something nice :)

This is an older piece of mine. I have so many unfinished works that I should really get to completing; I'm just so easily distracted! I'm always starting a million projects at once and never finishing any of them. One day!
